Soundwaves Wrap-up 2021

CLOSING OUT 2021

This was another great year of growth for Soundwaves Art. This year we were able to accomplish more than ever and it's all thanks to collectors like YOU!

From Covid relief to refugee rights, you helped us provide support to the work of 25 critically important charities.

We're not the only ones thankful for your support. Our charity partners have been blown away by your generosity. Here is a message from Jim Benner, from our charity partner Children In Conflict, that highlights the personal impact of purchasing a Soundwaves Art print:

What We Raised

Down to the nitty gritty! This year we raised a record-breaking amount, and donated over $1 million dollars to our charity partners - nearly doubling our fundraising from last year!

Yes, you heard that right - your purchase of a Soundwaves Art print helped us improve thousands of lives in 2021. You should be proud.

Here's a breakdown of where our donations went:

The Musicians

This year we worked with 80+ musicians. We had the honor of teaming up with a few old friends like Brian MayThe National, and New Order for another round of Soundwaves, and really enjoyed introducing first-timers like Billie Eilish and The War on Drugs, to our fundraising. And of course, we enjoyed creating new relationships that we hope continue to flourish.

As we plan for next year, we want to hear from you! Who were you excited to see us collaborate with this year, and who did we miss?

Who Did We Miss?

Our New Home In Lockhart

We topped off the year by building our very own Soundwaves Art Gallery in historic Lockhart, TX just down the road from Austin.

Since July our small but mighty team has been sprucing up our 150+ year old space and after some hard physical labor, we finally opened the doors earlier this month. Upstairs we've started our own custom framing shop, and downstairs you can find a curated exhibition by Tim Wakefield and our Artist In The Bar series, featuring work by Makenna Hatter-Paxton. Keep up with the gallery here.

Many thanks to our sponsors:

Beam Suntory, Fever-Tree Mixers, Southern Glazer's, Independence Brewing, Paula's Texas Spirits, RAMONA, Drippin Springs Vodka, Martine Honeysuckle Liqueur, Liquid Death, The Austin Chronicle, Perry's Petals, FOLK Metal + Wood, John with Proof Liberations.

THANK YOU AND SEE YOU IN 2022!
